Community Involvement

The Miners State Bank is proud to provide service and support to the Upper Peninsula. As a Community Bank, our focus is hometown investment.  We put local dollars back to work in our community through loans to local businesses and home owners.  The bank and its employees donate leadership, service hours and financial support to many local causes.  We are proud not just to be in our community, but part of it.

Toni Aldegarie, Regional Branch Manager presents to Chris Thompson, Superintendent of West Iron County Public Schools, a donation in the amount of $3,107.  In supporting the development and education of youth in Iron County, The Miners State Bank is promoting the values that are core to Hometown Community Banks by giving back to the Community it serves. Students who are successful after high school have learned the values of hard work and dedication, but even more importantly they've learned to persevere.  The Miners State Bank West-Pac “GRIT” Scholarship is awarded to a student-athlete who has overcome adversity, exhibited courage through difficult situations, or performed admirably after recovering from a severe injury.

The recipients of the 2015 Miners State Bank West-Pac “GRIT” Scholarships are Brianne Maggio of Hancock High School and Mykel Zaritz of West Iron County High School.  Congratulations to Brianne and Mykel for exhibiting determination, bravery, resilience, perseverance and passion for a long term goal.  All of us at The Miners State Bank wish you the best as you begin the next chapter of your life.
