Chip Debit Card

The Miners State Bank is implementing the chip debit card.  Upon expiration of your current debit card, you will receive a new debit card with the embedded chip at no cost to you.  If you would like to replace your card prior to expiration, the cost for a replacement card is $10.00.  If you are replacing your card due to unauthorized or fraudulent activity on your card, there will be no cost.   The PIN reminder will remain the same at $5.00 per PIN.  If you have any questions, please contact a Miners State Bank customer service representative at 906-265-5131.                         Member FDIC

2016 Halloween Fun

On October 20, 2016, Shamco Inc and The Miners State Bank sponsored the October Business After hours.  To Honor the October theme of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Business After Hours venue was a fundraiser for the Iron County Cancer Unit.  Silent Auction items were donated by Shamco, Inc, S & C Nelson Farm, and John Menucci.  The Iron County Chamber donated the 50/50 proceeds, and donation jars were everywhere.  Through these efforts, $743 was raised for the Iron County Cancer Unit.  Thank you to everyone who attended and donated items, food, and money to this wonderful event.

Savings account changes

Effective September 1, 2016 The Miners State Bank is reducing the minimum daily balance requirement and the minimum opening deposit requirement on Regular Savings to $100.  Accounts maintaining a minimum daily balance of $100 or more will not be assessed a monthly service charge of $5.00.  See account disclosure for more details or contact our customer service team.  Member FDIC

E Statements 

Go Paperless and save.  The Miners State Bank offeres "E" statements which is electronic delivery of your monthly statement through secure email delivery.  If you have a Regular Checking account and you sign up for Paperless "E" statements, your montly service charge of $5.00 will be waived.  Login to Netteller to select E statement or contact customer service at 1-877-906-5131 for more information.  Member FDIC

On June 20, 2016 The Miners State Bank introduced a fresh new look for Netteller Online Banking.  This modern update made for easier navigation through the product and quick, convenient access to website features.
 
Changes you will notice are:
 
The red and black MSB logo at the top of the page.
A change in button styles.
Addition of "hover" menu's on the Accounts sub-menu. 
The overall look will be easier to read and a more modern style webpage.

New Mortgage Lender –

A Familiar Face and Resident Of Marquette County

Marquette, MI – September 30, 2015 – The Miners State Bank, a premier community bank headquartered in Iron River, Michigan, has hired a new mortgage lender to service Marquette, Alger, Houghton, Baraga and Keweenaw counties.  Jim Hewitt has joined The Miners State Bank team and will be working as the mortgage lender out of the Marquette location.

The Miners State Bank, with six locations across Iron, Ontonagon, Houghton and Marquette Counties, has a strong history of providing friendly, convenient, professional service to its customers.  The Miners State Bank is excited to bring Jim on board to strengthen the Bank’s residential mortgage loan presence in the local area.

Hewitt is a lifelong resident of Marquette, an alumnus of Northern Michigan University, a member of the Marquette Area Public School Board and a Trustee of the Community Foundation of Marquette County. He has spent the last eight years in banking, primarily managing branches in Gwinn and Marquette.

Jim resides with his family in Marquette.


 

The Miners State Bank Welcomes a New Commercial Lender

A Familiar Face and Lifelong Resident Of the Copper Country

Hancock, MI – July 20, 2015 – The Miners State Bank, a premier community bank headquartered in Iron River, Michigan, has hired a new commercial lender to service Houghton, Baraga and Keweenaw counties.  John B. Sanregret has joined The Miners State Bank team and will be working as branch manager of the Ripley location in addition to his role as commercial lender.

Sanregret is a lifelong resident of the Copper Country, an alumnus of the Michigan Tech School of Business and Economics, a former teacher and administrator in the CLK, Lake Linden-Hubbell and Hancock Public School and he earned his Masters of Arts in Education from Northern Michigan University.

John resides with his family in Hancock.
